From Surviving to Thriving: strategies to do your research and wellbeing just a little bit better
While a joyful curiosity might be the fuel of research, doing it day-to-day can be really tough. The purpose of this programme is to help researchers move – even by just a little bit – from a sense of merely surviving within the research process to thriving within it. To do that, in a welcoming, safe environment, the programme covers the essentials of four topics in 2 x 4-hour sessions: Developing Your Resilience and Managing Your Procrastination; Increasing Your Productivity and Cultivating Your Happiness. Eschewing the hyperbole of the self-help industry, this programme provides participants with practical tools and strategies grounded in the psychological literature to help you do your research and nurture your wellbeing just a little bit better. This programme is, then, for ‘the brightest and the stressed’: those who are both curious to learn and want practical strategies.
